Explore LIGHT & Its Applications at KVS Jhalwa
A science outreach programme at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jhalwa, Prayagraj, for students of Classes VIII to X. Through live demonstrations and hands-on activities, students explored the fundamentals of light and how they connect to modern technologies and everyday life. Conducted under the supervision of Dr. Sunny Sharma, with Dr. Vibhu Srivastava, Ms. Bharti Kaushal, Ms. Pushpalata Tiwari, Ms. Mamta Devi, Ms. Najbeen Bano and Mr. Amit Raj from the chapter.

Explore Light and Its Applications
45 students from Kendriya Vidyalaya joined a hands-on session in the Physics Laboratory on the IIITA campus. Using optics kits from the Optica Foundation, they covered the basics of light; reflection, transmission and absorption; convex and concave lenses; laser light; diffraction and polarisation, with demonstrations such as the rainbow peephole and magic strip, followed by an optics quiz.

Optica Traveling Lecturer: Prof. Yogendra Kumar Mishra
Prof. Yogendra Kumar Mishra of the Mads Clausen Institute, University of Southern Denmark, gave an expert talk on “Tetrapods-based Smart Materials for Advanced Technologies” at IIIT Allahabad under the Optica Traveling Lecturer Program. The talk was also opened to participants of the WRAP 2023 photonics workshop, followed by a long discussion with the audience.
